Shakespeare's World: Society, Religion and Politics in Early Modern England

Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Cogswell, UCR's Professor of History in the History department, for leading the 2006 Summer Travel Study program in London, England. Students enjoyed the hospitality of Goodenough College and International House. The City of London became the classroom setting as students were introduced to the religious, social, and political history of Shakespeare's age through the participation in three performances at the Globe Theatre, and the exploration of the city through daily walking excursions.
