Application and Deposit Process

Eligible UCR and non-UCR students can submit an application prior to meeting or speaking with the lead UCR instructor. Please pay your non-refundable $300 application fee through the campus cashier's office (make certified checks payable to UC Regents). Your application and deposit (which goes directly toward your program fees) will hold your spot in the program (provided open spaces remain), pending approval. A Student Information Packet will be mailed out to you unless we need to contact you regarding eligibility or for additional information. Once you receive the Student Information Packet, please start completing the forms and gathering whatever information is requested.

Click here for step-by-step instructions on the Deposit Payment Instructions (for UCR Students and non-UCR Students)!

Programs have Limited Space

All programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Completing the steps necessary to participate in the Summer Study Abroad program will take time and commitment from students. It is recommended that serious applicants submit all forms as soon as possible. Programs may be canceled due to low enrollment. If a program is canceled due to low enrollment or if students are not selected to participate in UCRSSA, students will receive a full refund (including their deposit).

If you do not have a current U.S. passport, please initiate the process to obtain or renew your passport immediately. If you have a foreign passport, please consult with your local embassy for travel restrictions/authorizations.
